• Filter Troubleshooting.

Where to go if the plugin doesn't work...? Initially, I would suggest contacting the support team for that plugin but if that fails, there are a number of great newsgroups as well as websites full of enthusiasts who might be able to help. Plugins should work with the minimum of fuss but sometimes additional dlls might be required (such as with the filter factory plugins) or the plugin just fails. Plugins generally work only on RGB images so if the plugin is grayed out in the filter menu then it might be the image is just not in the correct format. Plugins also might require a selection or the plugin might work only with text or the plugin might require an initial action to be set in place, it depends on the plugin.

If you need a dll then I would suggest a search on the web, a quick look on Google or another search engine should find the required dll along with notes how to install the resource.

If the application develops a fault or the plugin fails, you might just need to re-install the plugin (though I would suggest a full backup of your work and key folders) as the plugin might have been corrupted or the preferences or registry has been damaged in some way and the key information has been lost. This may vary from plugin to plugin.
